VIPole iOS update 1.1: custom security settings and increased stability

This is the first VIPole update for iOS, and we paid special attention to bug fixing and improving stability. The functionality for privacy protection has been extended: custom security settings for contacts are added. The update includes minor user interface improvements – you’ll recognize them when chatting and calling.

To create customized privacy settings for a contact, go to «Security». There are two ways: 1. from the chat – the icon is located top right, or 2. from the contact list: swipe left on the contact, then tap More and Security.

The «Security» section allows you to:

  • Blacklist the user,
  • Set visibility of your status for the contact,
  • Set a fixed status,
  • Hide your IP address,
  • Add the user to the list of hidden contacts,
  • Delete history,
  • Decline contact authorization.

The «Security» section is available for chats as well: chats can be added to the list of hidden contacts and history can be deleted.

The list of VIPole for iOS features will be significantly expanded in the next update – sending files will be enabled soon. We are working hard to make VIPole full-featured across all desktop and mobile applications.
